
KAREN ROHRKEMPER
Chief Operating Officer, Arium Networks
Karen Rohrkemper is the Chief Operating Officer of Arium Networks, where she leads all aspects of operations across a national portfolio of more than 105,000 small cell nodes, either on air or under contract, with an annual capital budget of $400–500 million. Her organization is also responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all new small cell and venue deployments in the United States for Arium, including design, permitting, and construction, driving consistent year-over-year growth.
Karen brings more than 25 years of telecommunications industry experience. She spent 17 years at Cincinnati Bell, where she held leadership roles across sales, product management, wireless services, and data analytics. In 2014, she led the successful wind-down of Cincinnati Bell’s wireless business following the strategic decision to sell spectrum assets to Verizon.
Karen joined Crown Castle in 2018 as a Regional Vice President, overseeing planning, engineering, and construction for the Central region. She was promoted to Senior Vice President, National Implementation & Operations in 2021, where she led large-scale deployment and operational functions across the enterprise before moving on to the role of COO upon the launch of Arium Networks.
She is known for combining strategic vision with operational execution, and for fostering a culture rooted in transparency, accountability, collaboration, and leadership excellence. Karen is a strong advocate for continuous improvement and is recognized as a positive, energizing leader.
Karen and her husband, Evan, live in the Houston area with their son and twin daughters.
